All youth grades 6-12 are invited to attend a “Get to Kow You” event on Sunday, June 5, from 5-6:30 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Somerville.
This is the inaugural meeting of a new joint Episcopal Youth Group which will begin meeting once a month in the Fall.

We are planning a “Night of Mystery” that will be held in the undercroft with a potluck dinner. If you sign up today, you will receive your “suspect”. You can decide if you want to dress up like your suspect or not.
All the suspects gather in the undercroft on the night of the “mystery”. At some time in the evening, the lights will go out, and the “victim” will be revealed. You then will try to find out whom the murderer is by asking questions of the rest of the guests. Our mystery is “Murder in Margaritaville.” Randy will be our mixologist. Sign up here with what you will bring for the potluck.
We need all hands on deck to beautify our grounds and clean some areas of the church. Please bring your wheelbarrows, tree trimmers, shovels, weed whackers, etc., and wear appropriate clothing to work outside.
We also have some stairwells and closets to clean, if you would like to work indoors instead.
May is the month St. Martin’s helps the Somerset County Food Bank distribute food in Somerville. This Saturday, May 14th, volunteers will be meeting at 8:25 at Shiloh Pentecostal Church on Davenport Street. Beginning Saturday, May 21st, the location will change to First Reformed Church at 100 W. Main Street in Somerville. Volunteers are still needed for May 28th.
There is a signup sheet on the Bulletin Board in the Narthex. You may also call Marlene at 908-507-7406 or email her at mficzko@optonline.net if you wish to volunteer. Based on our experience last summer, we believe we will need about 4 volunteers each Saturday.
